Crofton, Md., is abundant with hometown spirit. And for good reason — it
offers residents a wonderful environment with friendly neighbors, cultural
events, top-rated schools, numerous activities for all ages, and countless
services and shopping — all in a beautiful setting.
Centrally located between the cities of Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington,
Crofton has become a professional hub of its own. With the bustle of activity

what’s happening in our community. CroftonLiving.net offers a resource
with which to do so.

Yes, but each is specific to the organizations that host them.
In other words, while there may be sites devoted to a school, church,
civic organization or business, there is not one cohesive site to
bring them together. CroftonLiving.net was created to address that
need.

In addition to centralizing existing Crofton resources, CroftonLiving.net
is content-driven. Routinely updated, it’s a place users can go to see
what’s happening this weekend or even next month. Neighbors can learn
about others in the community who are making a difference. Businesses that
may not have had a web presence now can and do. Users have an active role
in defining the content posted to the site. Finally, since it’s developed
by Crofton residents, it’s near and dear to those who host it.

Yes, as well as from the phone directory, a business flier
and coupon books. There are an abundance of resources available for
researching the information you’re looking for. Unfortunately,
they aren’t generally at your fingertips simultaneously. Likewise,

CroftonLiving.net relies solely on sponsorships. Currently, only premier
sponsorships are available. After the site has been populated with these
sponsorships, the program will be expanded to offer different sponsorship
opportunities.

makes a Premier Sponsor unique?
Premier Sponsorship is limited to those 25 supporters who
will enable the site to get up and running. Based on a commitment
to the community in which they live/operate, candidates have been
hand-chosen and invited to participate. Premier Sponsors receive
unique marketing opportunities unavailable to other sponsors because
they have recognized the benefits CroftonLiving.net provides and
are interested in contributing to its success.
A flat fee earns sponsors 12 months of online marketing including: a banner
ad which rotates monthly on site pages (to optimize visibility), coupon placement
on the Business Savings pages, a link in the business directory to a specified
page, indefinite listing on the CroftonLiving.net sponsorship page, additional
space available banner advertising and ongoing marketing recognition in CroftonLiving.net
initiatives, including mailings and promos.
Regardless of continued sponsorship status, Premier Sponsors will be indefinitely
acknowledged on CroftonLiving.net sponsorship page. Once these 25 positions
are filled, Premiere Sponsorship will not be offered again.

Each page is no more than three clicks away, making content easily
accessible.

can I get involved?
CroftonLiving.net is a concept that will quickly spread throughout
the community. Once word is out that such a tool is available, it
won’t be long before users begin to reap its benefits.
But interest and support is required to keep the initiative going. Initially,
sponsorships are required to fund the project and let others know this tool
is available. Feedback through the "Contact Us" page to direct
inquiries, recommend content and share ideas will help to ensure the site
is worthwhile. Finally, working cooperatively to support the sponsors who
fund the site will complete the circle.

do I get my business listed?
Every business in Crofton is eligible for entry in the CroftonLiving.net
Business Directory. This is pending approval of CroftonLiving.net hosts.
However, sponsorship is required to have a business directory link (i.e.
link to your homepage), banner advertising or inclusion on the Business Savings
page. See the "Contact Us" section for additional information.

do some pages have grey listings that don’t lead anywhere
when I click on them?
CroftonLiving.net will continually grow to serve anticipated needs. Like
most worthwhile endeavors, this takes time. These listings are provided to
show you what WILL be available on the site in the future. Check back (and
often) to see how it’s been updated.

Why
do some links go to the business directory while others to specific
web sites?
CroftonLiving.net relies on sponsorships to fund the expense
of development and programming. Those who have provided sponsorship
are entitled to direct links which are readily found. Likewise, civic
and non-profit organizations are provided links so users may easily
obtain specific information about them.
Others whom have not yet signed on for sponsorship are listed in the business
directory as a courtesy to our users. If you notice a business does not link
to a specific site, encourage them to become a CroftonLiving.net sponsor.
